Components

There are three main components to the Korral Kool system. The entire system is controlled by Koolnet, our proprietary software.

Korral Kool's Three Main Components

Our system is manufactured with the highest quality processes and components, to produce a system that will provide many years or reliable service. The Korral Kool system is fully automated with three main components.

Control Module

Controller (Control Module)

Control Module

The Control Module has a sophisticated, but reliable, computer controller board with networking capabilities. This controller monitors outside weather conditions to provide twelve different levels of water injection in relation to temperature and humidity. The controller also monitors water input pressure and pump temperatures to prevent damage to the components. The controller has set points that are fully user programmable to tailor the system to your individual preferences.

Wind and Rain Sensor

The wind/rain sensor is continuously monitored to prevent damage to the curtains in the event of high winds or shut the system off (if desired) during a rain storm.

The Plumbing Components

All of the plumbing components used in the Control Module are made of brass and stainless steel to provide many years of reliable service. All of these features are what make the Korral Kool system the most dependable, effective, and durable cow cooling system you can buy.

Kooler

Our Long-lasting Kooler

The Kooler frame work is made galvanized steel. The duct and vanes are galvalume, and the kooler flare is ABS plastic with a UV protective coating. The fan blade is all aluminum construction, and the fan bearings are oversized and regreasable. The plumbing is all brass and stainless steel. These features makeup a quality product with a long lifespan.

Our Patented Vane and Water Injection System

The patented vane and water injection system alter the environment around the cow, so the cow can use it's own natural mechanisms to cool off. The water injection system injects micron-sized water droplets into the air, which evaporate, cooling the environment around the cow, and the cows surface. This allows the cows heat to radiate in to the air. This air is replaced more than six times per minute with fresh air from outside the shade to maintain this process. The vane design and air velocity allow for complete, even distribution of fresh air underneath the shade.

Curtains

UV Coated Curtains

The Korral Kool curtain system is used to keep the radiant sun load off of the cows. The curtains are made of a special coated UV resistant fabric for strength durability. The curtains are weighted to provide shade in windy conditions up to a peak wind speed of 23 m.p.h. (recommended). The curtains have user defined parameters that allow them to be raised and lowered at different temperatures and times of day.

Install Them Anywhere

The kurtains...Curtains can be installed on both sides of a Center Feed Alley loafing barn, or on the West side of a Conventional Dry Lot shade. All of the components of this system work together to make it the most effective cow cooling system there is today.
